Since October I’ve had the opportunity to document the life of Danielle Forsell and her pit bull, Iris Rose.

She’s a person who truly gives back to her community. Once a week she helps elementary students who have trouble reading, she demonstrates dog obedience to a class of kindergardeners, and visits residents of a nursing home.

Her and her dog share a special bond that goes well beyond each other. It was an honor to photograph them and I hope that one day I can give back to my community as much as Danielle and Iris.
